These Republicans Want to Shield Netanyahu From War Crimes Tribunals
Chip Roy has legislation to sanction war crimes tribunals from prosecuting Israel
Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-ND) and Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) told Capitol Press on Tuesday that the United States should shield Israel — and specifically Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu — from facing accountability in eventual war crimes tribunals before the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Their remarks come as the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have begun ground operations in Rafah. In this Palestinian city, nearly half a million people have sought shelter from the ongoing genocide.
